All the best hairstyles from The Fashion Awards 2018
If we could, we'd give all of these ladies the best hair award.
The Royal Albert Hall once again played host to the prestigious British Fashion Awards last night. Designers, models and other big names (including a surprise appearance from the Duchess of Sussex) came together in London to celebrate another year in the industry.
See all of our red carpet hair highlights from the glamour-filled evening, below.
The Fashion Awards 2018: The best red carpet hair looks
Georgia May Jagger
Georgia May Jagger had the most colourful look of the night, debuting a shocking pink fuschia hue which she paired with a complementary sugar pink suit.
Editor’s tip: Inspired by Georgia to try a bold hair colour? Brighter shades like pink tend to fade faster, so be sure to switch to a colour protecting hair care range like the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo and Conditioner. They’ll keep your colour looking bright and vibrant for as long as possible.
Lana Del Rey
Making a rare red carpet appearance, Lana Del Rey showed off a shorter, mid-length cut which she wore straight and parted in a centre parting. Her trademark dark locks were coloured with a soft chestnut ombre, accentuating softly curled under ends.
Rita Ora
Rita Ora has become our go-to girl for accessories inspo, serving up looks with pearls, tiaras and flowers. Last night she stunned in a padded black satin headband embellished with diamantes while her platinum locks were swept back into an elegant updo.
Suki Waterhouse
Model Suki Waterhouse stuck to her typically vintage styling with this retro inspired beauty look. Her hair was teased into a bumped-up beehive with flicked out layers for an authentic homage to the sixties.
Editor’s tip: To give your hair lift, sprinkle a little of the VO5 Instant Volume Powder before backcombing. It’ll give your hair a fuller, thicker appearance, meaning no hairstyle is out of reach!
Jenna Coleman
Victoria star Jenna Coleman proved that while hair trends come and go, you really can’t go wrong with Hollywood waves. With a deep side parting and glossy, undulating curls, she looked the epitome of old school glamour.

Hair highlights from the British Fashion Awards 2017
FKA Twigs
FKA Twigs has her own Instagram zine all about black hair and is famed for her creative, unique hair looks, so we have come to expect great things from the star!
Wearing her dark locks in ringlet curls, the newly single singer/songwriter looked stunning last night with her hair swept up into a romantic curly updo, adding yet another winning look to her ever-growing portfolio of styles.
Georgia May Jagger
Her rockstar dad may have been a massive hit in the ’60s, but Georgia May Jagger transported us back to the ’70s for the Fashion Awards. With parted bangs curled away from the face, her dirty blonde strands looked ultra retro and effortlessly cool!
Editor’s tip: To emulate this blown-out style on your own hair, try scrunching some of the VO5 Big Volume Mousse throughout your hair while damp.
The airy, weightless formula will give you masses of volume when you come to blowdry it. Plus, it contains heat defence to protect your delicate tresses during styling – bonus!
Laura Jackson
If you’ve been waiting for that final push you needed to try a bob, just take a look at presenter and food writer Laura Jackson for hair inspiration.
From her deep-set side part to the way she’s tucked her lengths neatly behind her ears, everything about this cut just screams cool-girl chic! We’re definitely going to be keeping a close eye on this one to see how else she styles her cropped length…
Maisie Williams
There’s currently a massive Game of Thrones–shaped void in our lives, so we always get a little overexcited when we see the stars of the show out on the red carpet scene.
Maisie Williams brought back one of our fave summer styles – the hun – for the occasion, which she paired with lightly tousled lengths. Aw, Arya is all grown up!
Pink
Come on, you didn’t think Pink would just turn up with any old boring hairstyle, did you?
The What About Us singer channelled edgy vintage vibes with her silver strands worn in a hair-raising rockabilly style. Short-haired girls take note; we think this pomp would make the perfect festive party style!
Editor’s tip: Such a bold style calls for a pretty powerful hairspray and the TIGI Bed Head Full Of It Volume Finishing Hairspray is perfect for this look.
The worst thing that can happen with a style like this is that it collapses halfway through the night, but this finishing spray will help to ensure this doesn’t happen!
Tallia Storm
Scottish up-and-comer Tallia Storm sparkled at the awards (quite literally!), wearing her ash blonde locks up off of her face in a soft boho braided updo.
The ‘do featured a slight Bardot bump, too, giving the style a plumped-up, voluminous look that’s perfect for a night out.
Zendaya
It’s literally impossible to predict what Zendaya’s going to do next with her hair, as she seems to totally transform herself from one day to the next!
On this occasion, the Spider-Man star wore a platinum blonde wig styled into an elfin, layered pixie cut. And let’s get real, the contrast between her baby light hair and ultra dark brows was killer!
The best hairstyles from the Fashion Awards 2016
Gigi Hadid
Winning the award for Best International Model, Gigi Hadid proved that she was more than worthy of the accolade, by wearing a rather daring silver jumpsuit!
She pulled her whole look together by working her golden hair into a slick, high top knot, giving her an air of elegant refinement, while she modernised the look with a swipe of iridescent eye shadow.
Alexa Chung
It was no surprise that British sweetheart Alexa Chung was at the awards ceremony, having had quite a full-on year preparing to launch her own clothing brand come 2017!
The long-time fashion muse opted for a Hollywood-inspired hairdo, with her mid-length brown mane being styled into retro-looking, soft waves, which were pinned back behind her ears. And can we please just take a moment to appreciate how shiny her hair is!
Lady Gaga
Come on, the Fashion Awards 2016 wouldn’t be complete with an appearance from the one and only Lady Gaga! Her striking bleach blonde hair was swept back into a twisted low bun, allowing her to showcase her huge diamante earrings.
Adwoah Aboah
If you have natural afro hair, and want a low-maintenance look to rock this season, you should take a leaf out of model Adwoah Aboah’s book, who stepped out sporting a super edgy (and stylish!) red-tinged buzz cut. Her hassle-free ‘do was paired with some over-sized hoop earrings and a bold red lip, for an undeniably chic finish!
Jourdan Dunn
Is there anything sassier than Jourdan Dunn’s ultra-long ponytail? We think not! For the awards ceremony, the Victoria’s Secret model tied her hair up into a high pony, with the help of some fabulous extensions!
She also worked the ‘do in true Angel style, by styling her mane with a fashionable parting on either side of her head. Slay, girl!
Winnie Harlow
We notice an updo trend emerging, with model of the moment Winnie Harlow following in the footsteps of Gigi Hadid, and sporting high top knot. Not only is this look super sleek and effortlessly stylish, but it also works as the ideal hairstyle to help protect those with natural afro hair!
Erin O’Connor
Opting for something a little more daring, seasoned model Erin O’Connor strutted out on the red carpet with a short, slicked-back bob, by using a generous dose of hair gel. But that’s not all, for an added playful twist, Erin’s hair was spritzed with a red chalk spray, for a pop of quirky colour!
