Hairstyles to style with the micro sunglasses trend all the celebs are loving
1. Retro combover wave
We’ve seen combover hairstyles for men everywhere lately and now it’s time for the ladies to get in on the trend.
Making an appearance on the SS18 Haute Couture runway, rectangular-shaped sunglasses were teamed with a retro-inspired combover fringes – ideal for date night we say!
2. Low ponytail
Perfecting her off-duty model vibe, Kaia Gerber hit the streets of Paris wearing her tresses in a low ponytail. But that wasn’t all she did…

3. Side-sweeping updo
Honestly, does anyone do it better than our gal Riri? No is the answer, BTW.
Hitting the Cannes Festival in style, Rihanna wore her white-rimmed Matrix-esque micro sunglasses styled with a side-parted elegant bun.
4. Messy bun + side fringe combo
Selena Gomez arrived in Tokoyo looking more on trend than we do on our best day.
Her brown ombre hair was styled in a high bun but it is her side sweeping long fringe that really make this look pop, along with her red-tinted shades ofc!
4. Bob + bangs
If anyone can remember young Natalie Portman in the ’90s movie Leon, you will already know that her character’s style has been replicated several times as of late.
Bringing the look well into 2018 is this Instagrammer, who teamed her Mathilda-style, chin-grazing bob and short bangs combination with sharp cat-eye micro sunglasses. Credit: @taylorlashae
5. Blowout
Yes really! Gigi Hadid is a style inspiration the world over and if she says it works, who are we to argue?
Wearing her long dirty blonde tresses loose, Gigi looks like she has just stepped out of the salon with this gorgeous blowout. To top off her sporty athileisure style, the model opted for, you guessed it, a pair of micro sunglasses.
Editor’s tip: Create the perfect blowout at home using the TIGI Catwalk Blow Out Balm. Not only will this help create beautifully smooth and glossy hair, but it works as a heat protectant, too – bonus!
6. Messy bun
If you’re not the kind of girl with a glam squad around you (more’s the pity) rest assured that even your everyday messy bun is perfect for wearing the trend.
Kendall Jenner wears her dark tresses in the Meghan Markle-approved messy bun, which shows off her hexagon-shaped shades perfectly.
7. High ponytail
Piling her medium brown hair into a high ponytail, there is nothing we don’t love about the way this Instagrammer has styled her look. Just like Rihanna, her colour combinations are on point but it is the way she styled her tresses that we love most, of course. Credit: @yasminsuteja
Style tip: If you haven’t noticed already, the key to wearing the micro sunglasses trend the A-list way is to set your shades on the tip of your nose. Now, we’re not sure of the purpose of this, but it sure looks good!
8. Pixie
Now don’t go thinking that if you don’t have long, flowing tresses that you can’t jump on board with the micro sunglasses trend – quite the opposite in fact.
Taking to the Balenciaga catwalk, this model pulled off the sunglasses trend on a short pixie. So really there is no excuse to not try the trend.
9. Beret
Not quite a hairstyle but we couldn’t resist. From Christina Aguilera to Bella Hadid, its seem the most popular way to work the micro sunglasses trend is with a baker boy hat or beret – either look and you are winning!
From a side ponytail to curls, see our fave ways to wear your hair with a beret.
