Accessorised ponytails

Life’s too short to secure your go-to ponytail with a regular hairband, and for Spring, it’s all about taking your pony game up a notch with the help of some offbeat hair accessories. And, of all the beauty statements at New York Fashion Week this season, one accessory that won us over was hair ribbons, which we’ve also seen making a revival on Instagram.

So, if you want to instantly elevate your look (with zero effort required) just pair your ponytail with a ribbon or a belt a la Tibi SS17, and you’re good to go! Credit: @juliahengel

Power curls

Whether they are beautifully natural or achieved with curling irons (or even through a perm), big curls have continued to dominate this fashion season. And, Instagram is also proving that are here to stay, being bigger and better than ever.

So, instead of hiding your beautiful coils away in a braid, we say embrace every last one, wearing them out and proud for all to see! And the best thing about setting your ringlets free is that they don’t require much maintenance, but still pack a style punch. The only requirement for any naturlistas out there rocking this look, is to ensure they’re fully moisturised, by enlisting the help of a leave-in conditioner, like the TIGI S-Factor Papaya Leave-In Moisture Spray.

Bobs and lobs

We know: bobs and lobs (AKA long bobs) aren’t anything new on the style scene, but hear us out, because there is a new way to work it! If you’ve been rocking the style for some time now, and just want to give it a little refresh, look to channel your inner Parisian girl with a French bob.

Rapunzel hair

While it seems like everyone around us is opting to cut their tresses shorter and shorter (we’re looking at you Katy Perry and Catherine McNeil!), the number of stylish ladies on Instagram doing the exact opposite has also risen.

And this Instagrammer’s hair is the ideal example: we love how she’s fashioned her Rapunzel-length locks into relaxed beachy waves. But don’t worry if you’re not a fan of using styling tools in your mane, because we’ve got a trick on how to get wavy hair without heat, here! Credit: @jaylene_joy

Want to brighten your strands this season, but not ready to jump on the blonde hair bangwagon? Then hygge hair is the way the forward. Whether you choose to opt for a Emma Robert’s-inspired coppery hue, or you decide to add some golden highlights or caramel balayage into brown hair, you really can’t go wrong with injecting some sun-kissed warmth into your look. Editor’s tip: Feeling inspired to colour your locks this season? Great! Then just prepare yourself with a wash and care set specifically designed for dyed hair. We particularly love the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo and Conditioner, to help keep your tresses vibrant for longer!
