Now that New York Fashion Week autumn/winter 2017 is in full swing, we’ve been frantically searching all the hottest runway shows (we know, life can be hard!) for the best new hairstyles, that you can try at home. And we know what you’re thinking: Fashion Week hairstyles are always super complicated – well, not this season!
For AW17, Jonathan Simkhai presented us with a romantic wavy ponytail, that is as chic as it is simple to create. Crafted by TRESemmé Global Stylist Justine Marjan, the romantic wavy ponytail is a fun and flirty look that can easily transition to your Valentine’s Day look.

Okay, so you’re probably thinking what makes a ponytail runway material, right? Well, this pony boasts a super glossy sheen, delicate waves, and a super sweet hair accessory to boot! So really, you should be asking: what doesn’t make this look runway material?
How to get the look:
1. Start by washing hair with TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo, to give your a mane some extra oomph. Then, prep your hair with a few pumps of the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Dual-Action Maximiser, to maximise styling results.
2. Next, blowdry your hair using a brush to smooth and create a clean, centre part.
3. Now gather your strands into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, secure with a hairband and curl your pony using a curling tong.
4. Once you’ve finished curling your tresses, wrap a piece of hair around the hairband to conceal it and secure with a bobby pin, before gently combing through the curls with your fingers to loosen them.
5. Then run a few pumps of the TRESemmé Oleo Radiance Oil Elixir through the length of the ponytail, to keep your hair looking silky smooth and highly-polished.
