It’s All About Volume…

According to the stylists, this season it’s all about getting your biggest, most voluminous hair.

“The most popular party hair trends I’ve seen involve anything with volume – so waves or curls with incredible volume.” – Eliana, hairstylist at Blow LTD

“Everyone is either loving bigger-the-better glam with voluminous curly blow-dries or textured waves. It seems that body and bounce is on the top of the wish list this year.” – Bryony, hairstylist at Blow LTD

“Starlet waves: customers love the transformation into the classic Hollywood red carpet look.” – Chloe, hairstylist at Blow LTD

Get Your Party Hair Products Right…

Hairspray is a non-negotiable for setting your party style, while texturising spray helps to add that much-needed texture to your look.

“Hairspray! It’s a definite must to keep your hair in place and party-ready.” – Chloe

“For me, it has to be a good texturising spray. As big sexy hair is being highly requested this party season, finishing with some texture is the way forward.” – Bryony

TRESemme Ultimate Hold Hairspray

Try this: TRESemmé Ultimate Shine Hold HairsprayThe ultra-fine formulation means it won’t weigh hair down and it’ll also add a party-ready glossy shine.

Avoid Over-styling…

With so many different party invites, how do you make sure you’re taking care of your hair with all of the extra styling you’re putting it through?

“If people have a lots of celebrations over the party season I would advise to get a good blow dry on day 1, a half updo on day 2 and a proper updo on day 3.” – Eliana

Heat protection will be your best friend, use the right styling products in your hair and the blow-dry or beach waves can last till the next day, so that when your back at work or out with friends you’ll have lovely second-day hair.” – Chloe

“When it comes to hairspray – less is more! Run it through a finishing brush or spray onto your hands rather than directly onto the hair.” – Bryony

Learn How to Styling Short Hair…

For those with shorter hair, focus on adding in waves or curls to maximise volume and add dimension.

“Straighteners convert into curlers too! Take small sections, and turn the straighteners towards your face to achieve a nice curl. Use a wide-tooth comb, combing out your hair and your hair will transform into textured beach waves.” – Chloe

“Keep it chic with soft waves and textures rather than too much bounce or curls. I always think a side parting and an accessory looks effortless with shorter styles (p.s. accessories and clips are so in right now!)” – Bryony

Master the Art of Last-minute Party Looks…

Received a last-minute invite or been reminded about plans you’d forgotten you’d even agreed to? If time isn’t on your side, these looks will have you ready in a matter of minutes.

“For those who have run out of time to wash their hair or add some curls, a great last-minute look is a party ponytail. Backcomb the front for some volume, pop your hair in a ponytail and secure with a hairband and add some curls for texture. It’ll be out of your face and give you an edgy finish to your look.” – Chloe

“Party ponytail all the way! If you haven’t had time to wash your hair, spritz a bit of dry shampoo/texturising spray, tie up and add some curl to the ends. If you are in a real greasy disaster, load up the wax and hairspray and slick it back!” – Bryony

Don’t Forget Post-party Hair Care…

After the after-party, take some time out to give you (and your hair) some well-deserved TLC.

“Prolong that blow dry with a bit of dry shampoo to the roots. And when it’s time to wash, treat yourself to a moisturising mask, especially if you have used lots of heat to style.” – Bryony

Try this: TONI&GUY Damage Repair Mask. Leave this intense treatment mask on your hair for 3-5 minutes to work its magic and your hair will feel silky soft and seriously smooth.
