Mollie King’s festival-worthy headband hairstyle works a treat for winter weekends

The perfect way to add a touch of festival glamour to cosy weekends by the fire.

British singer and ex-The Saturdays band member Mollie King is our go-to gal when it comes to finding stylish new hairstyles. From slicked-back strands to pretty waves, the star always seems to get her mane looking on-point. And her latest hairdo hasn’t disappointed either.

On the weekend, Mollie debuted a festival-worthy headband hairstyle on her Instagram, proving in the process that this cute, retro look works a charm for all seasons.

Why we love Mollie’s festival headband hairstyle

Wrapped up in a cosy knitted jumper, and flaunting an effortless, girl-next-door ponytail, Mollie looked super cute in her Instagram picture, which she posted on Sunday. But, of course, all eyes were on her printed grey and white silk headband, which sat nice and snug over her voluminous pony!

Although you’d most likely expect this hairstyle to make a debut during an event like Glastonbury or Lovebox, Mollie proved she wasn’t afraid to rock it in the run-up to Christmas. Plus she even fashioned her headband into a cute bow! Is there any hairstyle this pop star can’t pull off? Credit: @mollieking

How to get Mollie’s headband hairstyle

Step 1: Spritz your hair with the VO5 Dry Texturising Spray to help create a messy, lived-in look.

Step 2: Gather your hair into a high ponytail, and secure it with a hairband.

Step 3: Take a printed headband bandana (the more colourful, the better!) and wrap it around your head so that it sits over your hairline. Then tie it into an off-centre knot, just like Mollie has done. Et voila!

Now, go and show off your new retro ‘do!
