Runway report: 5 showstopping hairstyles from Milan Fashion Week you’ll want to try
The runway hairstyles we can't wait to get our hands on!
Milan Fashion Week has officially come to an end and the fashion pack will soon be jetting off to Paris (yay!). But before we say arrivederci to Milan, we’re shining a spotlight on the best runway hair moments from the spring/summer 2018 shows to see which playful and practical hairstyles we’ll be borrowing from our Italian neighbours this season…
5 unmissable hair lessons to take from Milan Fashion Week

Sleek and deep side parts at Blumarine
Proving that switching up your parting is just as effective as getting a new ‘do, Italian fashion house Blumarine sent its models down the runway with sleek side parts.
This sultry yet minimal hairstyle complimented the sensual and sophisticated theme of the show, and proved just how universally flattering a side hairstyle can be! Choose this ‘do and you’ll #slay at every late night event you attend this autumn.
Editor’s tip: Want to recreate this polished look for yourself? Then you’ll need to add the TRESemmé Get Sleek Creation Hairspray to your mane kit.
This lush, lightweight spray will give your hair a smooth, frizz-free texture, which will help you create this pristine look in a jiffy.

Golden hair slides at Versace
If you crave the Midas touch (don’t we all?!), then Versace‘s golden hair slides will fulfil your mane fantasies. Pair this occasion-ready hair accessory with straight, blown out hair and you’ll instantly give off It-girl vibes.

Five strand braids at Jil Sander
According to Jil Sander’s runway show, there’s a new plait in town: the five-strand braid. Toeing the line between Game of Thrones-worthy and futuristic, we reckon this pretty plait will make its way up the ranks this season.
So if your a braiding pro and want to convince everyone that you just stepped off the runway, we quintuple dare you to give it a go!

Floral afros at Dolce & Gabbana
At Dolce & Gabbana, all the models were living la dolce vita with their floral, summery hairstyles, that looked so good on this naturalista’s afro that we just had to take note of it!
Rather than strategically placing flowers throughout your afro, take a lesson from D&G and assemble them to one side, for a neat, runway-ready look.

Textured wrapped ponytails at Alberta Ferretti
Alberta Ferretti took us to the Italian beach with sexy one-piece swimsuits, studded jelly sandals and sea salt-strewn hair, which was cleverly fashioned into a messy, wrapped ponytail.
Instead of going for a sleek ponytail, Alberta chose a textured look that was full of laid-back allure and ready to take your go-to pony from basic to boho-chic, pronto.
Editor’s tip: To create the gritty texture this look requires, spray and scrunch some of the TONI&GUY Sea Salt Texturising Spray through damp hair to add soft, natural-looking movement.
Then let your hair air dry and create your ponytail, before wrapping it up with some thread (we particularly love fashion-forward monochrome colours for this). Et voila: beach hair without the beach.
Now you know which hot-to-trot hair trends ruled the Milan runways, you’ll probably want to know the looks that ruled the streets too, right? Get ready to fall in love with these street style hair looks from MFW SS18!
