The best street style hair trends from MFW SS19
1. Blunt bob
The street style stars of Milan has spoken: the blunt bob is the cut of the season. The best way to rock it? Super polished with an off-centre parting, like this.
Team with micro sunglasses to instantly give off-duty cool vibes.
Editor’s tip: Using heat to create this sleek look? It’s important to prep your strands with a good heat protectant.
Try the TRESemmé Biotin+ Repair 7 Primer Protection Spray, which protects your hair from 7 types of styling damage, including damage done through heated tools.
2. Pixie cut
Forget Breakfast at Tiffany’s, you’ll be having breakfast at the salon when you see this modern twist on Audrey Hepburn’s classic pixie haircut.
Take note of the way she’s used bobby pins because they’re about to become your mane’s new BFF this season.
3. Ponytail with hair scarf
4. Half-up ponytail
Whether you’ve got bouncy curls or straight tresses, you’ll be able to show off your natural texture in the most stylish way possible.
5. Wispy updo
As if we needed another reason to try the wispy hair trend! Here, this street style star fashions her curly hair into an undone bun that’s ready to talked about.

We love braids and they look even more enchanting when they’re fashioned into a pretty basket shape.
And you’ll have your friends jealous of your plaiting prowess with this braided updo.

Bob & bangs
We all know that bob and bangs are fast becoming the 2018 hairstyle you need to be wearing (especially if you want to get those IG likes).
Bringing the cult fave look to the streets of Milan, this stylish cropped cut looks modern (and super trendy) when teamed with a micro fringe.
Editor’s tip: Give your tresses amped up texture and an undone finish with the VO5 Dry Texturising Spray. Use on dry hair to revive tresses and, for added root lift, spray into roots and tousle with your fingers.
From micro to Birkin, bangs are undoubtedly the coolest way to update your look this year, but slanted fringes, we have to admit, is also a new style for us.
Anyone who has tried to trim their own fringe will know, slanted fringes are not exactly the desired outcome, but at least if that ever happens to you again you can say it’s all in the name of fashion, darling.
Pantone approved ombre
There was plenty of bold hues causing a stir at Milan Fashion Week and kicking things off is this purple ombre.
After Pantone revealed violet as their colour of the year, the high street immediately jumped on board and ensured all the new season styles adorned the hue. But to make things more interesting, we think it’s far more fun adding the colour to our hair.
Nothing screams summer more than ice cream, right? And since we’re total ice cream addicts here in the ATH office, you can imagine how much we love this Neapolitan-inspired hue.
Melting from a buttery yellow to a pastel pink, this ombre colour combination is a dreamy match made in heaven.
If there are two things that are guaranteed to cause a flurry with street style photographers, it’s a bold hair hue and head-turning curls. This double denim lover is ticking all our fashion and hair goals with her golden brown halo of curls, giving us all kinds of mane envy!
Milan Fashion Week 2017 street style hair trends
You heard it here first: short cropped hairstyles are going to be hot-to-trot this year. So, if you’re looking for a dramatic, but stylish way to switch up your look, you know know what to do – get a daring boyish cut.
This quirky-looking set of bangs are blunt, finish just above the eyebrows, and have been coloured in this season’s hottest denim hue! It is this clever combination that gives the overall look the perfect balance between neat and statement-making.
Long Rapunzel hair
While it seems like everyone around us is opting to cut their tresses shorter and shorter, the number of stylish ladies doing the exact opposite has also risen.
And this fashion-forward Milan Fashion Week attendee’s hair is the ideal example: we love how she’s fashioned her Rapunzel-length locks into a sleek low ponytail and paired the look with a statement hair accessory.
This practical, elegant hairstyle is timeless, low maintenance, and super chic – what more could you want from a look?
Copper red hair
Seeing as the hygge hair trend has started taking hold in the beauty world, opting for bold copper red shades seems to be the way forward. While it’s a pretty striking look to pull off, we’re sure you’ll agree, that it really flatters this fashionista’s porcelain complexion!
So, when it comes to fashionable hues, this head-turning shade should be your choice for the season ahead. Trust us: with this Jessica Rabbit-inspired hue, you’ll be sure to turn heads wherever you go!
