Karty Perry’s mane moments: 8 Swish Swish styles we love
2010: Electric blue hue
Back in 2010, Katy Perry began her love for fun and eccentric hair colours when the Teenage Dream singer went for this electric blue hue.
Although this may be the use of a clever wig, there is no denying that Katy got the hair hue bug, as we were to soon find out…
2011: Pretty in pink
Going for the plunge in 2011, Katy went for this bold pink hue on her medium-length long bob tresses and we have to say, we think it suits her down to a T!
Parting her hair to the side, Katy added big voluminous curls to the bottom half of her hair and finished the look off with a floral hair accessory.
Editor’s tip: Thinking of changing your hair hue? You’ll need to switch up your hair care routine in order to help maintain your colour’s vibrancy. We’d recommend using the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo and Conditioner.
2014: Bangs + bob combo
Going back to her signature dark hue Katy was known for, this striking mane change is all about accentuating her bangs and bob combo.
Like a match made in heaven, Katy’s sweet and chic locks are completed with a cute ribbon headband, which is given us serious Matilda vibes!
2015: Award-winning purple lob
New year, new hue! While many of us may try a handful of hair transformations over our lifetime, Katy Perry is living in the moment, rocking a new hue almost every other week. If we had her army of hair stylists and glam squads, we would do the same.
Attending the Grammy Awards with this voluminous purple long bob, we love how Katy chose dark roots for a multi-toned finish.
2016: ’60s siren
Taking inspiration from the swinging sixties, Katy Perry went for this retro-inspired bouffant for her Golden Globes appearance in 2016.
Backcombing her roots to sky-high heights, this half-up hairstyle is completed with loose waves and wispy Briggite Bardot-inspired bangs. She’s really killing it in the retro mane game!
Editor’s tip: To help create volume, spray the Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray onto your roots, focusing on the areas just behind your Bardot bangs, for beautifully bouncy and moisturised hair.
2016: Elegant rope bun
Oh, la la! Katy Perry looked incredible with this slick back updo. While we love the ultra glossy finish on her dark raven locks, it’s her rope braid bun that really steals our attention. There really is no faulting this flawless red carpet look.
Editor’s tip: Envious of Katy’s super shiny locks? Us too. Give tresses an allover spritz of the TONI&GUY Finishing Shine Spray and your dazzling sheen is all anyone will be talking about.
2017: Knotted faux hawk
Waving goodbye to her dark tresses, Katy Perry went for a medium blonde hue for the BRIT Awards red carpet. Katy styled her new hair colour with a fun and funky knotted style which resembled a mohawk.
And the best thing about this look, is that when the singer let her hair loose, she had a mass of tousled curls just in time for her stage performance.
2017: Platinum pixie
We told you Katy wasn’t afraid of a hair transformation! After years of experimenting with different hues and styles, Katy went for the ultimate chop opting for this pixie cut.
Katy was one of the first to kick off the 2017 pixie cut trend (also spotted on Cara Delevingne and Zoe Kravitz) originally going for a long pixie with a short undercut, before going all out with this bleach blonde textured ‘do.
