Game of Thrones Premiere 2017: The best red carpet look from the night
The GoT cast scrub up pretty well off set!
With the hotly anticipated show returning to our screens next week (eek!), HBO held the premiere for Game of Thrones season 7 in Los Angeles last night. And with a host of celebrities in attendance (our invite was sadly lost in post – or so we heard), it was unsurprising to see a wealth of truly fantastic hairstyles on the red carpet from the GoT cast!
GoT season 7 premiere: The best looks from the night
Rose Leslie’s retro quiff updo
Her character Ygritte may have sadly come to an end in season 4, but Rose Leslie didn’t leave empty handed, finding a real-life romance with her GoT co-star Kit Harrington.
Attending the event with Kit in tow, Rose swept her naturally auburn tresses up into a elegant bun. Keeping the sides smooth, the star finished the look with a retro side quiff to exude tonnes of nonchalant vibes!
Gwendoline Christie’s blonde bob
We don’t get to see her in much glam in her role as Brienne of Tarth, but take away that body armour and Gwendoline Christie is one stylish woman.
Keeping her light blonde tresses in a chin-length bob, Gwendoline added a wavy finish to her ‘do, which perfectly frames her face and highlights her enviable cheekbones.
Editor’s tip: As with any coloured tresses, it’s important to use a wash and care system formulated especially with dyed hair in mind. To help keep your strands wonderfully bright like Gwendoline’s, we enlist the help of the TIGI Catwalk Fashionista Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner.
Hannah Murray’s curly ponytail
The former Skin’s actress and GoT star wore her long blonde ombre tresses in a curly ponytail for the season 7 premiere.
Opting for a carefree finish, Hannah left a section of hair free from the front loose and then tied a ribbon around the base of her ponytail. Now that’s one simple yet stylish twist!
Maisie William’s stylish bun
Her character Arya Stark may well be the most exciting and determined character to watch on GoT, and from the season 7 trailers her character is only going to become more enthralling.
If you are currently sporting a lob (AKA long bob) but are in need of some styling inspiration, then look no further than Maisie Williams.
The actress is always surprising us with trendy styles like this smooth wrapped bun hairstyle. Ensuring this look is nothing but note worthy, Maisie has added a metal hair slide under the bun to secure the look in place.
Sophie Tuner’s vibrant hue
Having previously ditched her red mane for a light blonde shade and tested out spiky ponytails, fun loving Sophie Turner has been spoiling us with some fantastic hairstyles lately. However, nothing quite beats the vibrant red hue of her GoT character Sansa Stark.
Taking to the red carpet, Sophie teamed her red-brown hair with loose waves swept over one shoulder, and we couldn’t help but notice, has Sophie also chopped off a few inches? We certainly think so.
Adina Porter’s bantu knots
Attending the GoT season 7 premiere was star of True Blood Adina Porter. Looking absolutely fabulous, the actress wore her tresses in triangle-parted braided bantu knots.
Not only is this a traditional protective hairstyle, we have also seen the style replicated with fun modern variations, from adding hair cuffs to the knots or even playing around with different hues!
