If you’re a hardcore Harry Potter fan, then you’ll have marked your calendars for this week, because the long-anticipated spin-off from the magical franchise is about to hit cinemas! That’s right, J.K. Rowling’s spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, is just days away from bewitching us all with more spells, potions and lots of magical creatures.
But before any of us muggles even get seated to see the spectacle, we were treated to something equally mystical – we’re talking about the action on the red carpet, at the premiere of the film! And of course, the All Things Hair team were on the lookout for the best hairstyles from the star-studded event.
So, wands at the ready, and be prepared to see some rather enchanting hairstyles!
Our fave hairstyles from the red carpet
For the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them premier, Zoe styled her mane into a low braided bun, coupled with super on-trend grey strands. She completed her sleek hairstyle with extravagant, embellished earrings, and a sultry black gown. Ooh la la!
Editor’s tip: If you’ve got blonde hair like Zoe, you might want to invest in a purple shampoo, like the TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Purple Toning Shampoo, to help stop it any brassy tones peeking through!
Most famously known as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series, actress Evanna Lynch sure did stir up a storm on the red carpet, with her ultra-glam wavy mane. The star’s highlighted golden hair was loosely curled and swept to one side, revealing a dazzling ear cuff – just look at how glitzy it is!
Did you know? Luna married Rolf Scamander, grandson of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them author Newt Scamander?! Mind. Blown.
Cast to play the part of Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein in Rowling’s film, actress Katherine Waterston looks just as magical off-screen as she does on! When in character, Katherine sports a chic, brown bob, but in real life, she flaunts something a lot edgier: a long, choppy pixie cut with bangs!
British actress Bonnie Wright (AKA Ginny Weasley to all you Harry Potter fans) was another familiar face on the red carpet. Flaunting envy-inducing glossy hair, Bonnie stunned in a flattering black ensemble, with a neon flower designs. But what we were really obsessed with was her fiery red mane, which was styled swept-back and gently flicked out at the ends!
Tip: Feel like going red after seeing Bonnie’s luscious hair hue? Then don’t forget to check out which red hair colour will suit your skin tone, first!
We can’t get enough of actress Gemma Chan’s A-lister look. Her silky-sleek hair is simply perfect! We love that her tresses have slightly warmer ends and darker roots. Oh, and then there’s the killer red lipstick and pale pink dress. This is understated elegance at its best!
She may be known for her make-up skills, but we think her hair is pretty on point, too! If you’re looking to transform your tresses for autumn, this chestnut hue is really worth a try. It’s rich, glossy and beautifully wavy. There’s nothing not to love about this look!
Not only did Emmi voice the goblin jazz singer in the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, she also performed the song Blind Pig. We’re most in awe of her amazing locks though, which make us think of mermaids! Her blonde curls are so effortlessly glamorous and feminine, giving her an ethereal finish to her look.
Last, but certainly not least, is the lady behind it all! This look is all about glamour and J.K. Rowling simply oozes it in this gold dress. Her face framing bangs compliment the updo perfectly, giving her an edge that’s straight out of Hollywood!
