Dior does braided topknots: See the stunning catwalk hairstyle here
Lazy girl meets It girl with the braided topknot...
Fashion week update: The humble top knot has been given a stylish new twist. Models at the Dior spring/summer 2017 show in Paris flaunted Pinterest-worthy braided knots that were totally to die for.
The go-to hairstyle from the show may have seemed ballerina-inspired in the front, but the rear of this fashion-forward style was far more intricate! Boasting 4 thin upside-down braids created at the nape of the models’ necks, they inched their way up to the top of their crowns and finished by wrapping the loose ends into a high bun!
Sounds pretty incredible, right? Well, to see these stunning braided ‘dos for yourself, take a little look below.
Braided knots at Christian Dior SS17
Each model sported 4 neat, thin braids, which were gathered into a slick top knot at the top of their head. These dashing updos were paired with black chokers and earrings, both bearing the brand’s new slogan “J’adoir”.
The look was chic and elegant, yet with plenty of interest to give it a cool-girl edge!
It’s safe to say that these braided topknots looked just as trendy from the side as they did from the back. We love how the front half of the models’ hair was neatly combed back to contrast the look of the braids from behind.
You could say that it’s a very pulled together kind of look (see what we did there?).
