The star-studded event didn’t hold back when it came to amazing hairstyles.
Every year there is a standout movie that creates so much hype and hysteria that we all HAVE to take notice. And for 2018, it has to be Black Panther.
The premiere of the Marvel superhero flick was held last night in LA and with a stellar cast including Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Basset, plus leading men Michael B. Jordan and Daniel Kaluuya, the event was everything we hoped it would be!

Our fave looks from the Black Panther premiere
Playing the character of Ramonda, Angela Bassett ensured all eyes were on her with not only a stunning, yellow-fringed jumpsuit, but with her equally-stunning long raven waves, which she styled smooth at the roots.
Is anyone else getting ‘70s Soul Train vibes?
Editor’s tip: To tame unruly curls, work a small amount of the TONI&GUY Curl Lock Oil throughout your mane, for a frizz-free, high-impact finish!
Starring in the movie as Nakia, Lupita looked like a princess with her jewelled gown – but it was her sky-high, tightly-wound bun that we really loved.
Making a strong case for the buzzcut is actress Danai Gurira. Jazzing up her cropped haircut to ensure it looked extra special for the night, Danai added a subtle metal headband to finish off her look. Who said you can’t have fun with short ‘dos, too?!
Chloe X Halle
The R&B duo looked utterly amazing at the Black Panther premiere! Wearing their matching dark golden brown twists in flawless styles, Chloe went for a halo-braid style finish while younger sister Halle wore her twists in double braids.
We all know that Rapunzel-length tresses are trending right now. From Beyoncé to Demi Lovato (and Kim KW ofc), this celebrity fave style just added a new member.
Actress Chelsea Tavares wore her extra long glossy dark hair in a single braid, which she elegantly styled over her shoulder.
Smoothing her dark hair forward, actress Tessa Thompson went for a pompadour style for the Black Panther premiere. Adding a winged eyeliner and gloss red lip made this retro-inspired style really pop!
