Milan Fashion Week SS17: 11 hair trends to try now
Pastel pink
No.21 makes pink hair look even prettier this season, with models Fernanda Ly and Lina Hoss both boasting pastel hued tresses on the runway.
Want a look that’s more ‘wearable’ than Hoss’ pastel buzz cut? Then try Ly’s casual, low ponytail in baby pink!
Editor’s tip: Maintain the vibrancy of your pink hair colour by using a shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for coloured hair, like the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Colour Vibrance Protection Shampoo and Conditioner.
The Prada bob
The bob haircut is back and it’s been given the high fashion seal of approval! That’s right, Prada has revived this classic short hairstyle, taking this cute, 1920s-inspired bob and making it feel cool, and contemporary with the addition of a simple bobby pin.
Short curly bob
It seems like spring/summer 2017 is all about the bob, and Moschino’s Betty Boop-inspired, short, curly bob (which came in a stunning variety of retro colours, FYI) definitely proves this.
Perfect parting
Partings are a great way to refresh your hairstyle without having to resort to scissors! So, if you’re looking for some parting inspiration, then take a leaf out of Missoni’s book and work it with this season’s wet-look hair. This way, you can rock 2 major hair trends at once!
Editor’s tip: Want to recreate this look at home? Then try using the VO5 Sublime Sleek Creation Hairspray for a shiny catwalk-ready finish!
Cute hair accessories
Clothes? What clothes? The best thing by far about Fendi’s catwalk show was the cute, geometric hair accessories on display!
These adorable accessories really were a treat for the eyes, with their candy colouring and funky shapes, they simply looked good enough to eat.
The twisted bun
Who said buns are basic? Not the stylists at the Jil Sander SS17 show, that’s for sure. The classic look was given a new lease of life this season by intricately twisting the hair to form a unique, low bun.
Just make sure you have plenty of hairspray and bobby pins on hand to hold this dazzling look in place!
Faux half bob
Always wanted to rock a bob? Well, before you commit yourself to the stylists chair and get all your hard-earned length chopped off, take a look at the Giorgio Armani SS17 show.
Yep, they demonstrated how you can work a brilliant faux half bob – it’s just as chic, only without a single pair of scissors in sight. Phew!

Blonde mohawk
Warning: this hairstyle is only for the coolest of customers, but if you think you can handle this short, statement cut, then this could easily be the answer to all your hair prayers.
But if you want to add some runway-inspired interest to your mohawk, you can always follow in the footsteps of this model from the Anteprima SS17 show and opt for a bold blonde colour with your longer lengths!
Crimped hair
You can rid your mind of any ’90s barbie girl-looking locks, right now – because for SS17, it’s all about subtle crimping.
The trick is to keep your roots and ends straight, and only to crimp the mid-lengths of hair. It’s a simple trick, but one that brings this look flying into the 21st century!
Cute crimped hairstyles we’re obsessing over.
Top knot
Let’s face it: no best hair list would be complete without a top knot. Don’t overlook this casual style, it’s a hair favourite with men, women, models and A-listers alike.
Still don’t believe this look is fashion-worthy? Then check out our best celebrity messy buns article if you still need some convincing.
Editor’s tip: To give your top knot a surreal shimmer, apply a few drops of the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Oil and just watch as your locks get taken to star-worthy new heights!
Curly wet-look hair
Ah wet-look hair. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll probably have noticed that this unique look is just about the hottest style du jour. And the newest slant on this hair trend, is to rock your wet-look with curly locks!
There’s no denying that this ‘do is fabulously chic, and ever since we laid eyes on the tresses at the Altuzzara SS17 show in New York, we’ve been totally crushing on this trend!
