Has Ariana Grande really gone *this* hair colour or is it just a filter?

Over the weekend, American singer Ariana Grande (AKA the ponytail queen) threw a spanner in the mane works when she shared a picture of herself with a completely different hair colour.
That’s right: the star has ditched her signature brunette locks for a dreamy pastel grey – and like many of you, we’re wondering if it’s real…

The 24-year-old singer has just wrapped up her overseas Dangerous Woman tour and took to social media to celebrate the end of it with this daring silver hair colour. After all, what better way to kick off a new chapter than with a new look, eh?
The singer captioned the jaw-dropping picture above with “btw i (it’s grey)”, in reference to her gorgeous hair colour. And as you can see, her brown locks + ponytail combo are nowhere to be seen (honestly, it’s shocking!). But what’s in place is even more dramatic: a dusty, silvery mauve that’s all kinds of magical.

Though we strongly believe she’s taken the plunge, there’s also evidence it could be a wig (a la the picture above). Back in 2016 , she wore a greyish silver wig for her Focus music video. So, maybe she’s just dug out of the hair closet?
Well, whether it’s temporary or not, we’re loving this new colourful side to Ariana and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
