Haim sisters, Este, Danielle and Alana are as much known for their flowing ‘70s hair as they are for their indie rock tunes. Long, wavy and luscious, needless to say they’ve got the California girl look perfected.
What we’ve come to realise is, that part of the Want You Back hitmakers’ uniqueness is that they all look super similar (we’re always getting them mixed up!). So when we saw that Alana, the youngest Haim sister, had chopped off her hair, we knew it was big news.
For those of you who missed it, she’s now rocking an Alexa Chung-style lob, much shorter than her old look yet even more on-trend. Ready to see it? Let’s see what you think…
Alana Haim doesn’t have the same hair as her sisters anymore 😮
Alana took to Instagram stories to reveal her haircut, posting a video of herself captioned “she short”, in which she’s seen swishing around her new locks. The California native’s signature rich brunette strands have been chopped to just about shoulder length, giving her an ultra current lob effect without actually being all that short. Yet although her cut isn’t that crazy, people are still pretty shook. Awe-struck fans on Twitter spoke out in their droves, with responses like: “Never thought I’d live to see the day a Haim sister cut her hair @babyhaim” and “Alana Haim just cut her hair gASP shes no longer in sync with her sisters”.
Now that one Haim sister has broken the mould, it’s got us thinking… will the other sisters change up their styles too? Could this be the start of a new era in HAIM’s hair?!
