Wimbledon 2016: The rose hair trend that’s stealing the show

So apparently, rosé's not just good for drinking...

Wimbledon 2016 is in full swing. But while everyone’s been glued to the tennis (our very own Murray’s doing well!), the All Things Hair team went on a hunt for the latest hair trends court-side. And boy did we find one! Meet the latest hair colour craze sweeping the tennis world: rose hair. And no, it’s not about people pouring the alcoholic drink of the season all over each other.

During the Evian Live Young Suite On The Opening Day Of The Championships event, celebrities flocked in their hundreds to witness the Wimbledon 2016 opening. And looking through the photos, we discovered the epic rose hair trend, where celebs were opting for pink and red coloured manes. Keep scrolling to find out which famous ladies rocked these summer-perfect bold hues now!

Ashley James

Former Made In Chelsea star turned DJ Ashley James flaunted her gorgeous rose gold locks at the Evian event. The colour is reminiscent of a warm, pastel pink shade and Ashley paired it with a baby pink lip and embroidered lace dress.

Her hair was styled into effortlessly cool beachy waves with lots of natural texture. To achieve a similar style to Ashley’s, be sure to invest in a trusty sea salt spray, like the Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray (£7.49*), which will help to give you that lived-in, beach babe look in no time.

Amber Le Bon

British model Amber Le Bon is not one to shy away from experimenting with bold hair colours, but typically we’re used to seeing her with glossy brown locks. For Wimbledon 2016, she opted for an edgy bright – almost neon – pink hue, and it’s safe to that she stood out from the crowd (for all the right reasons, of course)! We love how she paired the luminous colour with a layered fringe that’s longer around the edges to help frame her face. So, if Amber’s left you feeling inspired to go brighter, but you’ve got naturally dark hair: rest assured that you can pull off pink (it won’t clash with your brows – promise!).

Nicola Roberts

Ex Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts is renowned for her fiery ginger locks, and while she used to shy away from them, like many others, she’s come to realise that red is super stylish and unique. Plus, who’s to say that her hair colour can’t be paired with a bold red lip and a girly pink dress?

For Wimbledon 2016, Nicola styled her red coloured mane into glamorous tumbling waves which fell to one side. To recreate her utterly stunning look, start by using a volumising product, like the TIGI Bed Head Motor Mouth Volumising Cream (£17.50*) on damp hair, before blow-drying your mane. Then, take a large-barrel curling wand, like the Toni&Guy Glamour Jumbo Tong (remember: the larger the barrel, the bigger and looser the curls), and curl 1-2 inch-wide sections of your hair, until you’ve curled your whole head. Once you’re finished, throw on a pair of sunnies and get ready to watch the tennis in style.
