The star, who has barely wavered from her blonde ombre mane for nearly 3 years, has decided to switch up her light hair hue in favour of a darker, sultry shade. Don’t believe us? Taking to Instagram to debut her new ‘do, Laverne (who plays the part of Sophia Burset in Orange Is The New Black) posted the above picture, alongside the caption: “Trying out darker hair for the holidays. #TransIsBeautiful.” Even though we almost didn’t recognise Laverne with her black hair, we must admit: we’re totally digging her new sultry look.
Whilst Laverne may have debuted a new hair colour, she hasn’t changed her haircut or style, and is still sporting loose waves with a flowing side fringe. And to be honest, we don’t blame her: her long hairstyle is totally gorgeous! Credit: @lavernecox
