However, there really is nothing to be afraid of, because there are a whole load of creative yet simple hairstyles that even a rookie can master!

3. Half-up space buns

4. Side braid

You really can’t beat a classic side braid. But don’t worry if you’re not a braiding whizz, as even regular 3-strand braids can look chic. How, we hear you ask? Well, the key is pancaking (no, not those kind of pancakes!).

5. Messy bun

Ah, the messy bun. One of the most universally loved simple hairstyles, we can’t help but go back to it time and time again. Finding out how to achieve your own perfectly-imperfect messy bun will be a process of trial and error, but generally the messier the better!

6. Milkmaid braid

Thought milkmaid braids were best left to the professionals? Well, we’ve discovered a cheat method that makes achieving the look 100x easier!

All you have to do is work your locks into 2 braids, cross them over on top of your head and secure in place with bobby pins. Whether you’re off to a family wedding or a day date, it’s a great one to whip up when you’re out to impress!
