As any girl with curly hair will tell you, styling it everyday can be a real challenge – but that doesn’t always have to be the case! All you need to do, is arm yourself with a set of stylish hair accessories, and be creative with how you rock them in your natural mane. Now keep reading and follow the simple steps by Beauty Editor Jeanette, to learn how to get the curly updo of your Christmas dreams!

How to get the look:

1. Before you start your curly hair updo with a bow, begin by prepping your strands with the LOC, LOCO or LCO method (which stands for liquid, oil and cream). For the liquid section, we suggest using the Tresemmé Botanique Nourish & Replenish Hydrating Mist, which conditions, detangles, and preps hair for styling. Follow this with the Dove Advanced Hair Series Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment for your oil section, and seal all the goodness in with the Dove Advanced Hair Series Quench Absolute Crème Serum as part of your cream section.

2. Now that your hair is nice and moisturised, it’s time to create your curly updo. Start by gathering your tresses into a really high ponytail.

3. Once you have positioned your pony, secure your strands with a snag-free hairband and gently fluff out your pineapple.

4. Then it’s time to top it off with the pièce de résistance. Simply clip your chosen hair accessory (we suggest a pretty bow) at the back of your pineapple, and just like that, you’ve completed your Christmas Day ‘do!
