If you ask us, British actress (and serious style icon) Emma Watson is the epitome of class, elegance, and sophistication. Whether she’s stepping out on the red carpet, or just out and about on the streets, she always oozes effortless style that makes us do a double take. Yet when she made her latest red carpet appearance, we may have done a triple take, because Emma Watson debuted dark hair, and we barely recognised her!

As of late, Emma’s been rocking a much lighter, honey-brown shade in her tresses, most likely due to her role in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast film (which we can’t wait to see, BTW). But this week, the star stepped out at the 2016 Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit in New York, and shocked us all by sporting a much darker, edgier hair colour – and we totally dig it.
We also noticed a slight ombre twist on Emma’s new hue, with the ends featuring some gentle caramel tones, helping to warm her complexion. And as styling goes, Emma decided to work her mane into a romantic updo for the formal event, and pulling her whole look together with a dainty black choker and velvet ensemble. Well, we’d expect nothing less from the ever-stylish actress!
