’90s Throwback: Khloe Kardashian is bringing back crimped hairstyles

It's time to dust off those crimpers!

US reality TV star Khloe Kardashian was a big fan of last year’s boxer braid hair trend, and it would seem that she’s not yet ready to give them up just yet! Khloe was spotted sporting her favourite braided style once again this week, but this time with a cute retro twist: zig-zag curls! Fashion-forward Khloe is clearly a fan of crimped hairstyles, seeing as she’s upgraded her usual braids with edgy crimped ends. The 32-year-old star debuted her new braided hairstyle as she strolled through LAX airport in Los Angeles this week. Her long, blonde locks were separated into four individual French braids, which were then woven into two boxer braids on either side of her head. While we’ve always loved Khloe’s braided styles, it was the ends of her new boxer braids that really caught our attention! Instead of simply leaving the remaining ends of her plaits natural, they had been crimped for a frayed, edgy look.

We love that Khloe isn’t afraid to switch up her look and try something a little unconventional, and this style has definitely got the All Things Hair team’s seal of approval! Whatever will she think of next?!

Editor’s tip: Has Khloe’s look inspired you to try out more crimped hairstyles? Don’t forget that whenever you’re using heated tools (particularly on the delicate ends of your hair), it’s vital that you use a heat protectant spray. Try the Toni&Guy Heat Protection Mist, as this will help to prevent split ends and further damage.
