We're willing to bet you've never seen these variations before.

And while we saw countless amazing styles and looks, we have to say, some of our absolute favourites were, of course: braids! And we’re not just talking your average French plait here. Thanks to our talented TIGI stylists, we saw some truly awesome variations of this feminine classic and we’ve been dying to share them with you. 3 Exciting hair braids: Styles we’re loving right now
Festival-perfect braids
Looking for a new way to wear your hair to your next festival outing? This durable, festival-perfect hairstyle is great if you love braids, but can’t decide if you want to have your hair up or down.
Just create four cornrows (roughly an inch-wide), starting at the crown, towards your forehead. Secure the ends with a hairband and tuck them behind your ear, using bobby pins to secure each braid underneath the rest of your hair.

Half cornrows
It’s no secret that the All Things Hair team love cornrows. But let’s be honest: sometimes, we want a less time-consuming hairstyle. Meet, half cornrows. This braided hairstyle is the perfect compromise, as it doesn’t require you to plait your entire head.
Start by creating a side parting, with the tip of your comb. Then, divide the side that has less hair, into 2 equal sections (roughly 4-5 inches deep). Once you’ve done this, clip one section out of the way and begin to weave your hair into a cornrow, using small elastic hairbands to secure your braid. Repeat this braiding process on the other section – and your cute half cornrow ‘do is done!
Editor’s tip: Do you find that your hair easily slips out of pretty plaits? The trick is to prep it before you start plaiting with a spritz of the VO5 Give Me Texture Texturising Spray (£3.99*), as it’ll help give fine tresses some grip and texture, which will make it easier for you to create your half cornrow hairstyle.
Double unicorn braids
Looking for some #hairspiration for prom or a wedding you’re attending? Well, look no further. We think we may have the answer with this beautiful, boho braided ‘do. The double unicorn braid is a great way of tapping into the ever-popular trend of boxer braids, while also keeping the look elegantly edgy.
Editor’s tip: Use a large barrel tong to create soft, cascading waves; this will instantly take your glam hairstyle from an A to an A-star rating! Just don’t forget to protect your mane from damage with a heat protectant, like the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Spray (£5.50*)!
