Over the years, American singer/songwriter LeAnn Rimes has become instantly recognisable thanks to her long, golden-blonde hair. And while the How Do I Live country star has experimented with ultra-light platinum hues and even bangs in the past, her hair history has remained pretty much the same.
However, this has all changed, because LeAnn has given her mane a serious style shake-up, opting for a fresh new cut for the summer. Debuting a new long bob on her Instagram, she’s living proof that sometimes you just have to take the plunge and go for it!
LeAnn Rimes just revealed a sassy new lob cut
LeAnn headed to Instagram to share a duo of photos (above) of her new look with all of her fans. Quoting the legendary Coco Chanel in her caption, she wrote: “A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life – Coco Chanel Right on Coco! Loving the newness ❤️”.
Revealing that she was tired of her long locks weighing her down, she went on to say that she felt “It was time to feel a bit lighter on the outside to match what I feel on the inside.”
As you can see, she’s had her previously chest-length strands cut several inches shorter into a blunt, choppy lob, which now sits just above her shoulders.
And like us, fans were quick to share their love for her new ‘do, flooding her page with comments including: “Sassy hair don’t care! Love it! ??” and “Yassss!! I’m trying to get the guts to do it too!! I love it!!”
Editor’s tip: Long, bob-length hair calls out for texture and a sea salt spray, like the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Sea Salt Spray, is just what you need to instantly give your hair that sexy, textured look.
Now, if you’ve been umming and ahhing over cutting your own tresses, why not take a leaf out of her book and just go for it?
And if you’re still on the fence, let LeAnn’s wise Twitter words convince you: “May have just cut my hair cause I can! And I can change my mind and put it back whenever #thanksextentions#itsawomanthing #summertime“. Preach it!
We hope you enjoyed seeing LeAnn’s new look! If you’re looking for a style that’s a little shorter, this summer’s borrowed-from-the-boyfriend bob trend is bound to be right up your street. Why let the boys have all the fun?!
