5 Ways to style a shoulder-length bob
One hair length, 5 easy ways to style it!
Now that the new year is well under way, you may be looking to switch up your look and refresh your style. And we get it: it can be difficult to make a big change without chopping off all your locks. But instead of opting for an ultra short crop, just find yourself and on-trend way to wear a shoulder-length bob, instead!
Being neither too short, nor too long, this chic and simple hairdo is super practical and low-maintenance. So, to help you find inspiration – and get you loving your lob again – we’ve put together 5 of our favourite ways to rock shoulder-length bob that you should all try, pronto.
5 Easy ways to rock a shoulder-length bob

Mini space buns
For this cute look, we drew inspiration from the rave-tastic ’90s. It’s great for second-day hair, festivals or if you’ve been too busy (ahem, or lazy) to wash your mane, plus it works a treat for straight, wavy, curly or coily locks!
Just divide your strands horizontally from the temples, making sure the bottom section is larger. Then, divide the top part into 2 or 3 even portions (depending on how many mini buns you want to create). Tie each section up like you would a ponytail, before twisting and wrapping each of them around the base of the tail into a bun. To finish, secure them with bobby pins and you’re good to go!

French braid headband
Not only is this classic hairstyle a simple and pretty way to frame your face, but it’s also great for tucking away a grown-out fringe that you don’t know what to do with.
Start by French braiding your hair from just above your ear, weaving your plait until you reach the other side. Secure the end with a clear hairband and then pin it under your hair at the nape of your neck. Et voilà: a practical and cute way to rock a French plait with your shoulder-length bob!

Wavy bob
The wavy bob (AKA the wob) is a cool and easy look to rock on medium-length hair – not to mention it’s a firm favourite with fashionistas the world over!
Begin by dividing your towel-dried locks into 3 sections and apply a few pumps of the TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creating Sea Foam to each section. If you have naturally straight hair, use a curling iron to create your soft wob. As for those with naturally curly hair types, simply scrunch the product into your mane and blowdry with a diffuser. Pretty easy, right?

Hidden braids
Wearing your shoulder-length bob to a festival like Coachella or SXSW this year? Then this easy, decidedly boho look may be just what you need. There’s no denying that hidden braids have steadily been gaining popularity over the past few seasons, and they just so happen to on the table once again for 2017!
Start by taking very small sections of your hair from underneath the top layer and braid it using a standard 3-strand plait technique, before securing at the end with a clear hairband. Repeat the process as many times as you want, and there you have it: festival-perfect hidden braids!

Sleek and straight
Another option is to keep your shoulder-length bob ultra sophisticated with a sleek, straight look. And, if you dare, why not work in a full, blunt fringe to boot? Trust us, it’ll ensure you’re locks are fresh and modern all year!
To get the look, apply a few pumps of the TRESemmé Get Sleek Smooth and Tame Cream to towel-dried hair, before blow-drying your mane using a round brush and a nozzle. If you don’t have naturally straight tresses, simply run a straightener over your mane to achieve the look. Finish things off with a spritz of the VO5 Sublime Sleek Creation Hairspray, to help ensure your polished ‘do lasts all day!
