Modern Family star Sarah Hyland is unrecognisable with new ice blonde hair
Sarah Hyland is serving up a seriously cool new look... so cool, it's icy!
Actress Sarah Hyland shocked fans yesterday by revealing that she’d dyed her hair a dramatic new ice blonde shade. Over the years we’ve become used to seeing the Modern Family star rocking her natural chocolate brown locks, both on and off screen. And while she’s toyed with honey blonde and caramel ombre styles in the past, she’s always returned to her signature hue!
After years of experimenting with lighter locks, it seems the sitcom star has finally plucked up the courage to commit to the blonde life, choosing a bright platinum blonde shade for Spring. It’s by far her lightest hue to date and we’re totally obsessed! Ready to see it for yourself? Just keep scrolling!
Sarah Hyland just debuted new ice blonde hair on Instagram
The 26-year-old caused a quite stir when she was spotted out and about this week rocking seemingly lighter strands. However, it was only yesterday that she finally confirmed her new mane makeover.
Uploading the above selfie to Instagram, she addressed the question on everybody’s mind with the caption “Oh yeah. I’m a blonde now”. As you can see, she’s dyed her lob-length hair a cool blonde hue with icy tones! And for extra style points, she left just a hint of her natural darkness peeking through at the roots.
Her newly-bleached strands had been styled into lived-in, wavy curls for the ultimate off-duty look. And as we’re sure you’ll agree, her new ice blonde ‘do contrasts nicely with her bold, dark brows and natural root re-growth! Credit: @therealsarahhyland
Sarah has already flaunting her new ‘do, sharing this cute snap from a trip to Disney World – complete with adorable fluffy cat ears (well, headbands are making a comeback after all!).
Personally we’re loving how stylish she looks with her new hair, but fans of her signature brunette tresses need not worry. She’ll soon be returning to the dark brown locks we all know and love when ABC’s 20th anniversary remake of Dirty Dancing hits screens next month. Credit: @therealsarahhyland
Editor’s tips: Preparing to go platinum? We recommend investing in a violet-toned shampoo, such as the TIGI Dumb Blonde Purple Toning Shampoo. Used once a week in place of your regular shampoo, it will work to counteract any unwanted brassy, yellow tones and keep your blonde looking fresh.
