She’s a total blonde bombshell…
Do you love a celebrity hair makeover as much as the All Things Hair team? Of course you do! Which is why we thought you’d be interested to know, that Grammy and Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson has had a rather drastic mane change – and it’s all for Hairspray Live!.
As any fans of Jennifer will already know, she usually sports an edgy, dark pixie crop in real life, making her new blonde bob even more of a dramatic change. So, if you’re yet to see her new ‘do for the NBC live-action special, then keep on scrolling and prepare to be astounded!
Jennifer Hudson’s new blonde mane for Hairspray Live!
Taking to Instagram to debut her new ‘do, Jennifer posted the above picture, which showcases an ultra-voluminous and bouncy graduated bob. Her hair was also styled into a deep side parting, with the ends of her strands being curled inwards for a 1960s-inspired look.
Now, unless she has miraculously grown her hair 4-inches overnight (in which case, she needs to tell us her secret), we reckon that the bold new look is down to a wig. Credit: @iamjhud
And if you thought the ‘do was dramatic from the back, the front is whole other story! During the Hairspray Live! rehearsals, Jen gave her fans a sneak peek of her blonde mane and makeup, which featured a statement pink lip and cat-eye liner, for a totally fierce look. We don’t know about you, but we’re running to get tickets for the next performance! Credit: @iamjhud
Editor’s tip: If you’re feeling inspired by Jennifer’s bouncy new mane, and are considering dyeing your hair a similar shade, remember to pick up a shampoo and conditioner that’s been specially formulated for coloured hair. We especially love the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo and Conditioner, as this clever duo will help to maintain your colour vibrancy.
Now, although Jennifer’s look has been achieved with a wig, those of you wanting to get the real deal and work a bright new hue in your mane, head on over to our Blonde Hair page, for all the latest colours to inspire your next look!
