How to do a natural hair ‘frohawk
Wash your hair.
To work this ‘frohawk like a pro, start with nice, clean tresses. We suggest washing your mane with the Dove Advanced Series Absolute Quench Shampoo and Conditioner, which has been specifically designed with curly and coily hair types in mind.
Apply leave-in conditioner.
Once you’ve washed and fully dried your strands, it’s time to get your natural hair ready to style. Liberally spray the TIGI S-Factor Papaya Leave-in Moisture Spray all over your ‘fro, to help moisturise and make detangling your hair easier.
Part your hair.
Create more ponytails.
Now create a second parting a few inches above the first, and tie it into a ponytail. Repeat this process one more time until you’ve created 3 ponytails that sit down the middle of your head. To achieve the style in short hair, it will be easier to create more, smaller ponytails.
Apply hair oil.
Apply a few pumps of the Dove Advanced Hair Series Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment to the palms of your hands, and rub the oil so it fully coats your hands. Now gently apply the oil to your natural hair ‘frohawk.
Fluff your 'fro.
Once you’ve applied your hair oil, softly pull at the ends to ‘fluff out’ your ‘fro, to make it appear fuller.
Et voila: you’ve created a beautiful and edgy ‘frohawk, that’s bursting with personality! Now that’s what we call minimum effort, with high impact results.
