Get your mane FROW ready with us!
What you’ll need
London Fashion Week is just around the corner, which means we’ve been prepping like crazy to get ourselves prepared for the busy 5-day event ahead (because as the saying goes: fail to prepare, prepare to fail!). We want our hair to look in tip-top condition, because after all, it’s Fashion Week – we’ll be brushing shoulders with some of the most renowned models, designers and stylists in the business, so we should try and look our best, right?
So, if you’re after some insider know-how on what us beauty editors do to prepare for LFW, keep on reading and get ready to take some notes. Front row, here we come!
London Fashion Week: How we’re preparing for the event
I sit back, relax, and apply a deep conditioning hair mask.
Arianna, Junior Beauty Editor: At London Fashion Week, there’s always a load of photographers and bloggers papping street-style shots from the day, so just incase I get caught on camera, I want to make sure that my hair looks it’s best!
To prepare, I’m treating my mane to an indulgent deep conditioning session, courtesy of the TRESemmé Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment (£5.50*). I like to apply it to my hair while I’m in the bath, so that I can just sit back, relax and let the mask work it’s magic!
I can’t hack it without my on-the-go moisture top-ups!
Jeanette, Beauty Editor: My curly afro hair easily gets dry and frizzy, especially with our unpredictable British weather! So, in preparation for London Fashion Week, I’ve stocked up on the Dove Advanced Hair Series Quench Absolute Supreme Crème Serum (£6.99*). This helps me battle my frizz post-wash and it’s also great for popping into my bag for on-the-go moisture top-ups – because you never know when you might need to have picture-perfect hair during Fashion Week!
Dry shampoo is my London Fashion Week savior!
Ink, Chief Editor UK: Running in-between shows and working long hours during London Fashion Week means that I won’t get to wash my hair as often as I normally would. To ensure that my hair looks refreshed and full of life, I rely heavily on the trusty VO5 Refresh Me Quick Dry Shampoo (£2.99*). Not only does it help revive my tired locks, but it also helps to give my hair a fresh and uplifting scent (bonus!). Plus, I can pop it into my handbag and give my hair a spritz in-between shows.
