8 Easy Relaxation Tips You Can Try This Weekend

Self-care isn't just for Sundays!

When was the last time you dedicated some time to yourself? Between working and other life commitments, finding the opportunity to bring some much-needed calm into your schedule can seem impossible. Luckily, we’re here to help change that with our easy relaxation tips you can try whenever you need to unwind and chill out.

1. Start Your Day With a Morning Sound Bath Meditation

Instead of checking your phone as soon as you wake up,  why not start your day with a relaxing morning sound bath? The calming sounds of chimes, gongs and singing bowls will help you destress and get you ready for the day ahead.

2. Brew a Cup of Calming Tea

Need to destress and unwind quickly? Just brew yourself a cup of herbal tea (we swear by chamomile tea!), which has been drunk for centuries thanks to its calming, relaxing properties.

3. Try a Relaxing Perfume

Comforting scents can trigger a chemical reaction in the brain, aiding in the relief of stress and instantly making you feel at ease.  And, if you need a quick zen moment, trying misting your hair with the VO5 Vanilla Twist Hair Perfume

The calming notes of sweet vanilla and zesty mandarin infused in this perfume will appeal to your senses and leave your strands smelling gorgeous.

4. Go for a Walk

Spending time outside, especially in nature, is great for reducing stress and soothing the mind. Walking through a forest or your local park will give you a break away from your screen and also count as light exercise — bonus!

5. Run a Bath

If you want to quickly make your bathroom feel like a private spa, run yourself a relaxing bath. To take it to the next level, add some scented oils to your bath water and safely place a few candles on your bathroom counter.

6. Treat Your Hair to a Masking Session

While you’re in the bath, why not also help your strands relax? Treating them to a nourishing hair mask, like the Love Beauty And Planet Hope & Repair 2 Minute Magic Masquewill give your locks some much-needed TLC.

7. Try a Scalp Massage

If you haven’t got time to run a bath, just give yourself a relaxing head massage in the shower. This will help to release tension from your head, hair and scalp, leaving you feeling destressed and recharged.

To do this like a pro, lightly press your fingertips against your scalp, moving in small circles. Work your way across the whole of your scalp following this same method for at least 5 minutes.

8. Create a Daily Self-Care Routine

Once you’ve tried our relaxation tips, you’ll hopefully feel inspired to incorporate some form of self-care into your daily routine. By making small changes to your day, you’ll soon find that you feel healthier, happier and more chilled.
