How to Make a Vintage Hairstyle with Curling Iron
Moisturize
After washing your hair with your favorite shampoo, apply Cream Silk Dry Rescue Daily Treatment Conditioner to make sure you have soft, smooth, manageable hair.
Protect
Styling your hair with heated tools causes damage and dryness to your strands, so before you begin, make sure they’re protected. Apply two to four pumps of hair serum or a heat protectant spray like TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Flat Iron Smoothing Spray evenly on your hair to shield it from extreme heat.
Put it up
Cover the teased section with strands from the front. Then, gather all of the hair into a ponytail and secure with elastic. Take a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic, then secure with a bobby pin.
Curl
You’d want nice curls for this vintage look so take small sections of hair and twist each section around the curling iron until the entire ponytail is curled. Lightly tease the tail to add some volume, then gently brush to smoothen it out.
Spray
Keep everything in place by spraying it with TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray. This hair spray is perfect for updos and ponytails because it keeps them from drooping.
Pretty, isn’t it? This vintage hairstyle is perfect for formal events, date nights, and parties. And well, if you want to wear it to the supermarket too, we’re definitely not stopping you!
