Pull through braid for thick, curly hair
Thick hair may be challenging to style. You often have to deal with inconvenient volume and frizz. Some sections of your hair may even get dry, especially if you seldom treat it with hair masks. The ideal hairstyle for thick hair helps keep every strand in place while maintaining just the right amount of fullness. A pull through braid is perfect. It may sound complicated, but trust us, it’s easy to do. Here’s how.
8 Steps to create a pull through braid
Apply hair wax
First, make sure that your hair is fry. Then, spritz TONI&GUY High Definition Spray Wax to give your hair shape and texture. The hair wax will also make your hair easier to braid.

Tie on top
Gather hair from your hairline up to your temples. Tie this section with an elastic. This top section should form a triangle.

Tie again
Take another section of hair below the top section and tie it using an elastic. When done, your hair should look like it has two ponytails stacked on top of each other.

Pin and wrap
Get the second ponytail out of the way by pinning it on top of your head. Then, divide the first ponytail into two vertical halves. Wrap each of them around the second ponytail.
Afterwards, gather these two halves along with more hair to create a new ponytail and tie it with an elastic. Then, take a small section of hair from this new ponytail and wrap it around the elastic to hide it. Secure with a bobby pin.

Unclip and repeat
Now, release the clipped section of hair. Split it in half. Clip the new ponytail that you made in the previous step, and wrap the two halves around it. Repeat what you did in the previous step.

Continue
Repeat the two previous steps until you reach your tips. Make sure you wrap a small section of hair around all the elastics to create a continuous look. You don’t want elastics sticking out and ruining your hairstyle, do you?
When you reach the tips of your hair, finish the hairstyle by tying an elastic and again wrapping a section of hair around it. Secure it with a bobby pin.

Spray
Keep your ‘do in place by spritzing TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray on your hair. This will also help get rid of frizz and make your hairstyle last longer.

Time to party
This fancy hairstyle is perfect for gatherings, like a birthday or housewarming party at your friend’s place. Show up to family lunches well-dressed and groomed with this ‘do. A pull-through braid is also great for enjoying the outdoors because it gets hair out of your face and neck. When you’re going on a jog or working out, consider styling your hair this way.
