How to style short hair

1

Start

How to style short hair starts with clean and dry hair. Regularly wash your hair with a shampoo & conditioner enriched with a micro moisture serum to make your hair more manageable like Dove Straight & Silky Shampoo and Dove Straight & Silky Conditioner. Now, you’ll be ready anytime they sprung their surprise on you.

2

Comb

Comb all your hair up into a high ponytail, then secure with a hair tie. Make sure your hair is dry and tangle free before getting it up into that ponytail. Comb it nicely to make sure everything is in place and neat.

3

Hair donut

Take your hair donut and slide it over your ponytail. Be sure not to leave any strands out as it might ruin the style, specially if you are aiming for nice and clean look.

4

Cover

Spread out your hair to cover your hair donut with all your hair. Then, tie around with an elastic. It should look like you have a donut on your head.  An even coverage of hair around the hair donut is a must so be sure to spread your hair evenly. Nice and tight but not too loose to make it hold.

5

Wrap

Take the remaining part of your hair, then wrap it around the base of the bun. Tuck any remaining pieces of hair, then pin it. This is where the extra strands you left out willcome into play. Make sure nothing is left flailing in the air.

6

Messy

HAIRHACK:

Spritz hairspray to the tip of your tail comb and use it to pull pieces loose from the donut to achieve a messier look. The hairspray will help get more hold and add texture as you do this procedure

If you don’t want a very prim and proper look try this Hairhack otherwise, proceed to the next step.

7

Secure

Spritz more hairspray to give you a long-lasting hold.  Do this all over your hair to ensure it stays in place even if you go dancing all night. With TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray, even the weather won’t bug you with enough of this product on your hair because it makes your hairstyle weather-proof!

8

Accessorize

Add a hair bow below the bun to make your style more chic and to hide the hairpin underneath. A little accessory with a punch of color just may be that finishing touch to say you’re ready for what’s to come.

9

Impress

Now, you’re dressed and ready to impress. Wasn’t that as easy as A, B, C?  So, next time you get caught in a similar situation, be it for fun or work, you now have a go to hairdo in a pinch.

This is something you can do even with your eyes half open. Alright, that might be an exaggeration but it’s almost as easy. It would also be smart to keep a couple of hair donut‘s, pins and elastics ready on hand just in case you have those unannounced, spur of the moment events in life where a simple and great hairdo may be a game changer.
