How to Curl Long Hair in 4 Easy Ways

There are several ways to curl your long hair. You can use a curling iron, plastic hair rollers, laverag rollers, or create curls along with an updo. And the best part? You can do all of them at home! All you need are simple hairstyling tools and the right technique to achieve enviable waves and curls. Ready? Here’s how to curl long hair in four ways.

Step 1

Section your hair

Divide your hair into top, middle, and bottom sections. Clip the top and middle sections separately.

Start curling

Get a small section of hair and wrap it around the barrel of your curling iron for about three seconds. Then, release your hair by slowly pulling the curling iron down.

Continue

Keep curling your hair one section at a time. When you’re done with the bottom section, curl the top and middle sections.

Roll the front section

Take a section of hair in front and wrap it outwards around a hair roller. Roll until you reach the top of your head. Clip your hair roller.

Now, take a section of hair at the side and roll it inwards. Continue until you’ve rolled all sections of your hair.

Set your curls

Blow-dry your hair while you have your hair rollers on. Afterwards, unclip your rollers and gently take them out one by one. Finger-comb your curls to loosen them, then spray TRESemmé Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray to make them last longer.

Section your hair

Clip the upper half section of your hair. Leave the rest loose.

Start with one laverag roller

Insert the hook into your laverag roller. Then, hook the end to a small section of your hair. Pull this section of hair into the laverag roller. If you have long hair, use two rollers in one section of hair.

Repeat the process to all sections of your hair. Then, leave the rollers on for 25 to 30 minutes.

Remove the rollers

Gently pull out your rollers one by one. When done, finger-comb your hair and twist the curls to make them more defined. Then, spray TRESemmé Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray.
