Dry hair

Let your hair dry a bit. When it is already half damp, blow dry your hair. You can finger-comb your tresses while blow drying so the inner sections also get dry.

Part hair

Create a deep side part. Then, using a tail comb, take a section of hair close to your hairline. About half an inch of hair is enough.

Start braiding

Create a French braid on the section of hair you took. Cross the left section over the middle part, then cross the right over the middle. Add more hair as you go along.

Create a three-strand braid

When you reach the opposite ear, stop picking up more hair. Just continue making a three-strand braid until you reach the tips of your hair. Then, secure the braid with an elastic.

Add volume

Tug on the sides of your braid to create a thicker and fuller look. This will also add an illusion of volume to your hair.

Make your headband

Lift the rest of your hair and tuck your braid under it. Secure the tip of the braid on the opposite side using a bobby pin.
