Putting your hair in a braid? With the number of braid types available, you won’t run out of options. If you want to try something new, put your hair in a headband braid. It’s easy to do, and once you’ve mastered it, you can do it even in your sleep. Ready? Here we go.
9 easy steps to create a headband braid
Let your hair dry a bit. When it is already half damp, blow dry your hair. You can finger-comb your tresses while blow drying so the inner sections also get dry.
Create a deep side part. Then, using a tail comb, take a section of hair close to your hairline. About half an inch of hair is enough.
Create a French braid on the section of hair you took. Cross the left section over the middle part, then cross the right over the middle. Add more hair as you go along.
Create a three-strand braid
When you reach the opposite ear, stop picking up more hair. Just continue making a three-strand braid until you reach the tips of your hair. Then, secure the braid with an elastic.
Tug on the sides of your braid to create a thicker and fuller look. This will also add an illusion of volume to your hair.
Make your headband
Lift the rest of your hair and tuck your braid under it. Secure the tip of the braid on the opposite side using a bobby pin.
Curl and spray
Make the lower half of your hair wavy using a curling iron. Then, spritz TRESEmmé Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray all over your hair to prevent frizz.
Go out and show your friends your headband braid. Give your hair a break from the usual ponytails and create a headband braid. Spice up your look for school with this ‘do. You can also sport this hairstyle when going out with your friends on weekends.
