How to create a faux pixie

Start with soft, bouncy hair

Protect hair

Curl it, girl!

Add texture to your tips by curling them using a flat iron. Curl your hair toward one direction.

Divide into sections

Part hair into to horizontal sections. Twist the top section (the one near your crown and forehead) and form a small bun, then clip it.

Comb hair

Get a fine-toothed tail comb and comb the lower section of your hair background. Then, gather your hair, and twist it upwards to form a bun. Secure with bobby pins.

Separate locks

Unclip the top section of your hair and part it into two horizontal sections. Push one section at the back, then twist the front section and clip it.

Tease it

Using your tail comb, tease the unclipped section of your hair, pushing locks onto your scalp to create dimension. Then, twist hair into a bun and hold in place with bobby pins.

Make curls again

Unclip the front section of your hair and clamp it with a flat iron. Twist the iron as you pull it to make your hair wavy.

Spray and secure
