If you’re not very adventurous when it comes to hairstyles, the idea of getting bangs probably scares the heck out of you. Bangs are stylish and really add character to your look, but the transformation can be really dramatic, and most of the time, you can’t really tell if you’re ready for that until you actually go for it. But, there’s a way to try this look without the commitment: fake bangs. Yes, these days, even bangs can be faked. All you need are a few bobby pins, a pretty scarf or headband, and a few spritz of products here and there, and tah-dah—you have fake bangs that look like the real thing! How to create fake bangs

Repair split ends

Create a half-updo

Part your hair from ear to ear and gather that top section to create a high ponytail. Secure with an elastic.

Flip it!

Take the ponytail you just created and flip it forward, toward your face. Keep it in place with bobby pins. See your fake bangs coming together? Great! You’re almost done!

Create an updo and throw in a cute headband

This step is the key to a seamless look featuring your realistic-looking fake bangs.
