Holiday hairstyles you can try this year

Advent calendar: Closeup shot of an Asian woman with long black hair in a bun wearing light blue shit against an oyster-colored background
Make your hairstyle en pointe with a beautiful ballerina bun.

1. Ballerina bun

If you secretly dream of becoming a prima ballerina, it’s your time to be one—at least with your hair. Create a perfect ballerina bun by starting with soft and manageable hair. Fight frizz as well so it won’t ruin your final look.

Editor’s tip: Let your ballerina bun stay in place for a long time by finishing with TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray

Advent calendar: Closeup shot of an Asian woman with long hair in French braid wearing a gray long-sleeved top
Put your hair in a French braid to look simple bit elegant at your family’s Christmas dinner.

2. French braid

You can wear this pretty and practical ‘do anywhere: in the gym, at work, or when you need to dress up without looking overdone. A French braid is easy to make, especially if you have strong and healthy hair to start with. Use shampoo and conditioner that can help give you just that.

Bottle of TRESemme Keratin Smooth KERA10 Shampoo

Editor’s tip: Get sleek, manageable and easy-to-style hair with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Conditioner. These products are also suitable for salon-treated hair, so if you had your locks rebonded, dyed, or permed, stock up on these hair essentials.

Advent calendar: Asian woman with long black hair in a ponytail wearing a red plain blouse and black jacket
It won’t hurt to leave a few strands loose once in a while.

3. Messy ponytail

Take a break from perfect and polished hairstyles and try the messy ponytail. Just prepare a tail comb, an elastic or hair tie, and one or two bobby pins, and you’re all set. If you can’t get rid of frizz or if you’re having a bad hair day, go for this ‘do and no one will notice.

Editor’s tip: Nail a messy ‘do by adding texture to your hair. Spritz TONI&GUY Sea Salt Texturising Spray on your roots so your ‘do won’t look flat and limp.

Oh what fun it is to put your hair in space buns!

4. Space buns

Let your playful personality show in your hair. Put your hair up in quirky space buns on hot and humid days so you’ll feel presko. This is also a cute hairstyle to wear in school paired with your shirt-and-jeans get-up. You can also style your hair like this for your class’ Christmas party.

Bottle of Sunsilk Smooth & Manageable Shampoo

Editor’s tip: Keep your hair fragrant all day long by washing it with Sunsilk Smooth and Manageable Shampoo in the morning.

No heat? No problem! All you need are bobby pins to make tousled hair.

5. Tousled hair

Make your hair wavy even if you don’t have a curling iron. Just pin small sections of your damp hair into tiny buns for a couple of hours, and voila! Say hello to waves made without heat.

Editor’s tip: Got thin hair? Help boost its volume by washing it with DOVE Oxygen and Nourishment Shampoo and DOVE Oxygen and Nourishment Conditioner
