Twist hairstyles are fun and pretty, and actually give braids a run for their money. They offer a fresh new way to wear your hair when you’ve gotten tired of plaits, and allow you to play around with different styles and versions. Plus, if you’re not a master braider, you’ll find this variation a lot easier and faster to create.
We put together some really cute twist hairstyles that you would want to steal. Our favorite is look #4. What’s yours?
Twist hairstyles: All the chic looks you’d want to try
1. Twisted half-up
Editor’s tip: This ‘do would look extra pretty if your hair is extra shiny. For a glossy finish, apply a drop of TONI&GUY High Shine Serum Drops on your dry hair before you start twisting and styling.
2. Low & loose twisted ponytail
This look has just the right amount of romance to it, perfect if you’re going for a soft, feminine vibe. It can be casual but at the same time it’s also dreamy enough for date nights and other fancier occasions. You can leave a few loose strands for a nice face-framing effect.
Editor’s tip: To achieve that pretty bouncy tail, wash your hair with Dove Oxygen & Nourishment Shampoo and Dove Oxygen & Nourishment Conditioner so it’s left looking and feeling soft, nourished, and full of natural volume. Then add soft waves by using a flat iron with rounded plates before twisting.
3. Twisted bun
Here’s a super glamorous twist hairstyle that you can wear to parties, events, even weddings and other formal occasions. It’s the perfect hairstyle pick if you want a chic, trendy look that has that cool runway vibe. Don’t forget to lock your style in place with a good spray of TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray. This would keep your bun and the rest of your hair from sliding down or coming off in the middle of your party.
4. Triple twist weave
Like we said, this one’s our favorite. It’s very pretty, and although It does look complicated, it’s really not, and you can totally nail this look on the head! It can also take you everywhere, from office, to after-work drinks, and everything in between! To learn how to recreate this look, check out the tutorial here.
5. Twist & Stack
Here’s another interesting way to wear a twist hairstyle. Doesn’t matter if you have long, medium, or short hair—this look works for any length. To create this look, create loose curls, and when you’re happy with your waves, take about an inch-wide section of hair from near each of your temples and twist them, and bring together with an elastic. Create two to three more pairs beneath and over the first. Set in place with a generous mist of TRESemmé Salon finish Extra Hold Hairspray.
